'In The Shadows' is an oil painting on canvas, set in a black wooden frame, with no glass.
This painting came about as I love the play of shadows - and would normally work light to dark - but I wondered how I would approach a painting that was predominantly in shadow.
This painting looks best in moody and dark rooms, if there is no light hitting it, it can look as if the face is coming out of nowhere!
Sizing is 53cm x 68.5cm along outside of frame.
