'Zeus' is an oil painting on canvas - in a black wooden frame, no glass.
The idea around 'Zeus' was around my love of Greek and Roman mythology.
When researching statues online, for pieces that had images taken of them with plays of shadows - I noticed that most statues are placed above the viewing eye, and more often than not, they seem to stare down at the observer.
I love the idea of Zeus staring down, watching all - and I hope I have portrayed it well in this painting.
Measurements are 60cm x 75.5cm around exterior of frame.
