'Luca' is the biggest piece I have ever done!
He is a oil painting on canvas - wooden frame, no glass. The current frame has a tiny bit of wear and tear due to him being in storage, but I have priced accordingly.
'Luca' came about from a painting I won a scholarship from, many years ago - where I drew up a painting, cut into triangles, painted and then pieced back together. That painting currently still hangs at my parents home.
'Luca' was inspired by my youngest brother Luke. I am the only girl, and the youngest of 4. Luke had dreads when he was younger, and girls just LOVED them. He always thought he was the black sheep of the family, which is why I loved creating this painting of the face emerging out of the darkness, looking towards the light.
