This piece is inspired by one of Aotearoa's less famous native mammals. Pseudorca crassidens, or the false killer whale is a none descript whale compared with its cousins, yet in the dark ocean a pod of these members of the Delphinidae family (oceanic dolphins) form a mysteriously beautiful collection in the dark layers of the sea.
